The Most Complete Student Microscope Package: This microscope package is ideal for the young student, home-school student, or anyone with an interest in the biological sciences. In addition to the professional quality microscope, this package includes a comprehensive 200 prepared slide kit and 100 blank microscope slides and cover slips. The typical "toy" microscopes you find in department or toy stores have incredibly poor image quality and only a handful of slides. But this microscope offers top-quality optics and exceptional views along with a complete prepared slide kit.

Premium Optics for High Quality Imaging: Included with the triple, click-stop revolving ball-bearing nosepiece are 3 multi-coated 160mm objective lenses. Unlike lower grade objectives that tend to show false colors, these achromatic lenses are specially designed to correct color aberrations and display a true-color image. You get 4x, 10x, and spring loaded 40x objective included with this microscope. For viewing, we provide two premium grade wide-field eyepieces: a 10x (18mm) and a 15x eyepiece. This allows for magnification ranges of 40x, 60x, 100x, 150x, 400x and 600x. We offer optional eyepieces as well. We have optional wide field eyepieces available in 16x, and 20x powers, giving you an enormous range of possible magnifications to 800x.

Comfortable Ergonomic Microscope Design: Unlike traditional 'vertically' oriented monocular microscopes, this model is designed to make your microscope viewing as comfortable as possible. The main microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, a feature that you will almost never see with microscopes in this price range. The microscope ocular itself sits at a comfortable 45 degree incline. Unlike cheaper models, this microscope features a fully-integrated coaxial coarse and fine focusing adjustment with cross roller guides. Focusing knobs on both the right and left side of the scope allow for easy adjustment with either the right or left hand.

Large Mechanical X-Y Slide Holder: Unlike most cheaper models on the market that have simple slide clips, this microscope has a stage with a fully mechanical X-Y axis slide holder. With this functionality, you can easily move the slide around on the stage with fine precision, no fumbling the slide under the clips. There is a graduated scale printed on the slide holder to allow you to maintain a record of the location of various structures on a particular slide. Most microscopes at this price range do not offer this feature.

Built-in Adjustable Intensity Incandescent Light: This microscope has a built-in 20 watt incandescent bulb, with adjustable intensity light controls. Beware of cheaper models that use have a simple on/off switch with no brightness controls. Two spare bulbs are included with your microscope. The microscope has a built-in spiral-type N.A. 1.2 Abbe condenser under the stage with an iris diaphragm. This advanced condenser gives you incredible control over the amount and focal length of light aimed at your specimen and is critical for high-powered magnification viewing. A swing-out filter holder is included as is a green viewing filter. A mirror is included and can be fitted for use as the lower light source for field applications where electric power is unavailable.

Newly Manufactured, Research Grade Slides: These blank microscope slides are manufactured from high quality white glass sheets. The slides are pre-cleaned, flat, and optically clear. These are standard 1" x 3" slides (25.4 x 76.2mm) with clear glass and ground edges. They range from 1.0 - 1.2mm thick. The slides are vacuum sealed in plastic and packed in boxes of 50 slides each to prevent dust contamination. Our round glass microscope cover slips are standard-sized 18mm in diameter cover slips. They range from 0.13 - 0.17mm thick. The slides packed in a two-part plastic boxes of 100 cover slips and are wrapped in moisture-resistant paper to prevent contamination. All of our blank microscope slides and cover slips are brand new and newly manufactured.

Professionally Prepared Slides: Our prepared microscope slides are professionally hand mounted, stained, and individually labeled. These slides are great for students of all ages, from home-schoolers to college students looking for an excellent introduction to microscopy. The slides we offer give you the most diverse possible biological selection and are a good sampling of vertebrate, invertebrate, botanical, anatomical and microbiological specimens. This slides set is brand new and has never been used, so your slides will be clean and free of scratches or damage. The slides come in a light-weight, professional-style clamshell slide storage box. Unlike wooden storage boxes with metal hinges and clasps, this modern design polypropylene box will never rust, rot, mold, or fade over time.
